Peer Review Process

When a manuscript is submitted to a journal, it is assessed to see if it meets the criteria for submission. If it does, the editorial team will select potential peer reviewers within the field of research to peer-review the manuscript and make recommendations. As the journal is using a double-blind review process.

Steps of publication in the Egyptian Journal of Animal Production:

  • Receiving the paper by e-mail or home page for ESAP.
  • Sending the paper to the internal reviewer in the specialty of paper (the reviewer is from a different university other than the researcher's university) by email for the reviewer who uses the email or a printed copy for the reviewer who do not use the email (after deleting the data of the author (s) from the body of the paper and from reviewer form).
  • Through two to three weeks, the internal reviewer sends his judging on the paper by email or by hand.
  • Send the internal reviewer form and the required amendments on the paper body to the co-responding author (after deleting the reviewer’s name from the reviewer form). Send the paper after making amendments for the external reviewer by e-mail (after deleting the researchers ’data from the body of the research and from the reviewer form), (The editing will be by tracking changes).
  • Send the external reviewer form and the required amendments on the paper board to the researcher (after removing the reviewer's name from the reviewer form).
  • Sending the paper after finish from correct all reviewers' comments to English references to review the paper linguistically.Sending the paper to the researcher to review the paper to agree and to publishing after put paper in the final form to avoid a change in the text, figures and tables.
  • Putting the paper in the journal format.
